Course Description

This application form is for members of the public applying for the BSL101 Introduction to British Sign Language taking place on Thursday evenings. This single unit is designed to teach learners basic communication skills in BSL and is the beginners unit for learning BSL.

 

This course is designed to teach learners to communicate with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) on a range of topics that involve simple, everyday language use. They will gain basic skills and confidence in production and reception of BSL.

 

This course is accredited by Signature and consists of 10 x 2.5-hour session starting in October 2024 and finishing in December 2024. Please do not apply for this course if you cannot commit to this duration. It is expected that you attend all sessions.

 

This course is only open to participants aged 18 or over.
