This test will allow students who do not already hold a GCSE in English to be awarded a Level 2 Literacy equivalency which can be used to replace the GCSE requirement for entry onto most health degrees. Our revision course gives you the opportunity to gain the equivalent qualification with the support of tutor-led revision sessions. We offer Level 2 Literacy revision courses at a cost of £175 for an 8-week course (8 x 2hr tutor-led sessions). This price includes the final exam and two further re-sits if required.

Detailed Description

The Level 2 Literacy equivalency test is for applicants to Edge Hill University health and social care programmes (excluding Medicine) who do not already hold a Level 2 or GCSE in English or a recognised equivalent. Other universities may accept the equivalency qualification, however, it is your responsibility to check with the individual institutions first.

 

The 8-week revision course requires some prior subject knowledge (i.e. the courses are not suitable for complete beginners). All course dates can be found here: www.edgehill.ac.uk/tests

 

After you’ve made payment, the Equivalency Tests Team will confirm your registration. Please note, the Equivalency Tests Team work Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. If you make payment outside these hours we will be in touch when we return to the office.
