DescriptionThe 2024 Accounting History Review Conference will continue our exploration of accounting [in] history – the examination of multi-faceted social and institutional contexts through an accounting lens. To underscore our theme, we are delighted to announce that our keynote address will be delivered on 13 June 2024 by Professor Karol Borowiecki of the Department of Economics at the University of Southern Denmark, where he leads the ‘Arts and Creativity’ focus area and the ‘Creativity and Innovation in the Digital Age’ research cluster. Professor Borowiecki is internationally recognized as a leading authority on the economic history of the arts. We are pleased to offer a programme which includes a range of theoretical, empirical, and review papers crossing disciplinary boundaries and engaging with historians in other areas. Accepted papers include a wide spectrum of historically and theoretically-informed research covering topics from diverse countries and periods extending from the late medieval to the twentieth century. Edge Hill University is proud to welcome researchers from around the globe to this event, which is supported by funding from ICAEW's Charitable Trusts and Taylor & Francis.
