DescriptionAnnual Conference for Research in Education (ACRE) 2022: Transitions and Transformations: Educational Research in Rapidly Changing Contexts The ACRE planning committee, on behalf of the Faculty of Education, is delighted to invite you to join us at the next ACRE conference, taking place at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, Lancashire, UK. Education is a sector well known for the pace of its change. This has been brought into even sharper focus recently with the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, the urgency of the climate crisis, ‘culture wars’, Brexit, political polarisation, and policy imperatives. Education has always been central to enabling transitions and nurturing transformation. The focus of this conference is to explore the potential of education to open spaces for innovation and creativity during rapidly changing contexts. We seek to look critically at how pedagogical and curricular transformation, and opportunities for transition between educational phases and contexts, can open spaces of resistance and enable us to reimagine, rethink and reconfigure education's place in our culture, in society and in institutions and communities. We invite practitioners, independent researchers, ECRs and academics from within and beyond ‘Education’ to join us on our beautiful Ormskirk Campus for access to the latest research, engaged conversations, networking and professional development opportunities. Please select 'Book Event' next to your delegate option, or to book accommodation. You may then select your preference and make payment. For further details regarding accommodation please select the 'More Info' tab. Please note prices for each option will be shown once you have selected 'Book Event' button next to each option.
